What Is The Pure Shalom Project?

The Beis Hamikdash was destroyed because of sinas chinam — baseless hatred. We stopped getting along.

And look what happened to the talmidim of Rebbi Akiva — thousands of incredible Yidden, lost because they didn’t show proper kavod to one another. 

It’s powerful when you think about it: all that Torah, all that greatness — but without shalom, it couldn’t last.

Fast forward to today — Klal Yisroel is doing unbelievable things. The Torah, the chesed, the unity we see every day are nothing short of amazing. But we still have our disagreements — our machlokes, our family drama, our community tensions. It happens. We’re human.

That’s why we started the Pure Shalom Project — to remind ourselves that shalom isn’t just a nice thing, it’s everything.

This project isn’t about pretending we’re perfect or forcing peace where it doesn’t belong. It’s about trying — taking a step, making an effort. Sometimes that means reaching out, forgiving, or just softening how we see someone.

Of course, not every situation calls for reconciliation — and that’s where we turn to Daas Torah for guidance. But overall, we can all bring more shalom into our lives, our homes, and our communities.

That’s what the Pure Shalom Project is about — starting the conversation, spreading the awareness, and inspiring each other to choose peace a little more often.

Because if we can bring more shalom between Yidden… maybe we’ll help bring the Geulah a little closer.
